Making some stuff changes your opinions of what size machine you need/want!
I have ordered a ShopBot Buddy BT48, with a Powerstick attachment. This attachment allows you to expand the normal 24” axis of a Buddy up to 12 feet, making it configurable for a large number of projects. Here's a video of the Buddy+Powerstick, and some Buddy pictures.
You can see what I made with the Romaxx, as well as some useful or humorous signs, on my projects pages.
What I never put on those pages until just recently was the stuff I made that was miniature versions of what I really wanted to make. You can see them under Furniture from the link at the left.
All three of these are 10" or less in size. I can hardly wait until February, when my ShopBot arrives, and I can make these so I can actually sit on them!
UPDATE 2/18/2009
The Buddy arrived on 2/12, and I cut my first project on the 14th. I first cut a few air cuts, then a few projects I had already cut on the Romaxx.
Now that my confidence was a smidgen higher, I then cut full size versions of the stools on the Furniture page, shown below. I have to assemble my 4' PowerStick table, and then I will make the full size chair.
