Knapp Joint
Dovetail joints have existed since the late 1600's, but in the 1860's, when furniture makers wanted to start making furniture on a machine, it was hard to make dovetails with a machine. So a new joint called the Knapp joint was invented in 1867 and used for a while. I found its story on the internet, and decided to try it for CNC. Below is a picture of my first attempt, and the CAD renderings of the joint.
